PROPHETIC SIGNIFICANCE:
The Bible clearly teaches that there will be some kind of universal religion that will use its influence to enable the Beast, a
world military and economic dictator, to rise to power.
There are already religious movements working toward the goal of a "United Religions," modeled after the United Nations. Once born-again
Christians have been taken up to meet Christ in the Rapture, what is left of Christianity will be willing to cooperate with other religions
in the name of peace.
According to the prophecy in Revelation about the "Mark of the Beast," all people will be required to worship the Beast in order to receive
permission to buy or sell. His world religious movement will be led by the False Prophet of Revelation 13. It's influence will be symbolized
by the spiritually adulterous woman who rides the Beast in Revelation 17.

condemned.

Jan. 16, 2016 - Pope Francis' penchant for granting indulgences does not set well with all Catholics in this year before the 400th anniversary
of the Reformation, which was largely caused by the practice.
As briefly as possible, it is an “extra-sacramental” means by which a penitent can perform a duty — a pilgrimage or some similar act — to
eliminate all or part of the penance they must complete after confessing a sin.

“Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways. In this crowd, in this range of religions,
there is only one certainty that we have for all: we are all children of God.”
Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries of Plano, Texas explained to the Christian News Network that the Bible teaches that those who do
not trust in Jesus Christ for salvation are not children of God.
- No one seeks for (the true) God (Rom. 3:11), but there are many who seek after false gods.
- The only way to meet with the true God is His way, through the one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 2:5).
- People are either children of God or children of the devil (1 John 3:10).
- Jesus told religious leaders who did not believe in Him, that their father was the devil, who is the father of lies (John 8:44).
- Satan, "The god of this age," has blinded those who do not believe in Christ (2 Cor. 4:4)
